ABOUT
Welcome To Dawn Ashworth
Dawn Ashworth was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. She has lived in the Westmoreland area since she was eight years old. When she was 15 years old, her family moved to Garrison Avenue. Not only has she lived on Garrison Avenue the majority of her life and raised her son in that community, her grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles and many cousins grew up on Garrison Avenue and continue to live there today.
Dawn is a dedicated community advocate and candidate for Charleston City Council. Her goal is to strengthen neighborhoods, support local businesses, and ensure that every resident has a voice. She is willing to work with constituents, local businesses, community leaders, our police and fire departments and City leadership to build and develop strong, productive relationships that benefit and serve the community.
Dawn believes strong communities are built through transparency, collaboration, and practical solutions. She is focused on public safety, public health, fostering community connections, business grow, community engagement and property maintenance and accountability. To ensure that this is possible, Dawn will commit to open communication and listening.
